house upside down on the ground

The Right Side Up Man

Dedicated to the man who always thinks he’s right.

The right side up man in the upside-down house

Ran across his ceiling chasing an upside-down mouse.

He looked out his window at the shade tree outside.

It was floating in the air with its trunk to the sky.

He poured himself a drink, but the water flowed up.

It hit the floor above his head which completely missed his cup.

“The world I see is upside-down,” said he. “But the problem isn’t me.

The house is wrong, and so’s the mouse, and so is that stupid tree.”

His wife moved out from bumping heads which always caused a fight.

She was always upside-down, and he was always upside-right.

Sad he lived right-side up in his upside-down home.

But since he was always upside-right, now he’s all alone.
