You are the author of your story. Blessed with agency, each day, you have the capacity to write it. However, because the number of blank pages remaining is unknown, you must value the precious time you have left to pen your tale.

If you understand true happiness and can envision the desired ending of your book without selling yourself short, you must write to that end each and every day to ensure your story culminates the way you intend it to.

If you’re careless, complacent, or otherwise lazy, happenstance will write each page for you, jeopardizing your ending. If you’re dimwitted or foolish, you’ll allow someone else to write your story, all but guaranteeing an unintended ending. But if you’re smart, you’ll write your account, and each page will bring you closer to the joyous ending of your choice regardless of the seemingly insurmountable mountains and valleys along the way. One day, while reminiscing about your life’s journey, you’ll see that such challenges actually added to the adventure.

Now, if you are wise, you understand that you cannot edit your book alone. Once the words are on paper, you cannot change them. That is, unless you reach out to your Creator, the Editor, who granted you the blank pages and the agency to write upon them in the first place.

The Word, a title given to the Editor, has the power to correct your mishaps, misunderstandings, misfortunes, misjudgments, missed opportunities, and mistakes. The Benevolent Editor can delete whole chapters, remove skeletons from our closets, and erase the embarrassment and shame accompanying the infirmities and failings of the natural man.

If you are wise, you will allow the Editor to co-author your story, and when you exhale your last earthly breath, when the finite nature of your earthly life is at once realized, you’ll have authored a book worth celebrating. The words within will be full of meaning, and the ending will be far beyond what you envisioned. You will know with certainty and bear witness that the Editor, the Great Creator, the Word, has made your book flawless, your joy eternal. And then will you hear the following words, spoken by the Creator, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!”
