As the founder of the Silent Heroes of the Cold War National Memorial Committee, Steven uncovered the harrowing story of a classified plane crash near Mount Charleston, Nevada. His tireless efforts not only brought long-overdue recognition to the men who lost their lives but also led to the creation of a national memorial honoring their sacrifice.
With a passion for uncovering the truth, Steven’s work doesn’t end at historical advocacy. His fiction transports readers into imaginative realms where the past intertwines with gripping mysteries and elements of the supernatural.

When he’s not writing or uncovering history, Steven is a devoted family man, a spiritual mentor to inmates at the Southern Desert Correctional Center, and an active member of his community. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his wife, Marianna, and enjoys spending time with his four daughters and grandchildren.
Honoring Unsung Heroes of the Cold War
Steven Ririe is the founder of the Silent Heroes of the Cold War National Memorial Committee, an initiative dedicated to recognizing the sacrifices of those who served in secrecy during a pivotal era in history. His efforts uncovered the story of a top-secret plane crash near Mount Charleston, Nevada, in 1955. This tragedy, which claimed the lives of 14 military personnel on a mission to Area 51, remained shrouded in secrecy for decades.
Through Steven’s advocacy, families of the fallen were finally notified, and a memorial was established to honor their bravery. His work earned national recognition, including features on Mysteries at the Museum, Smithsonian Air and Space Magazine, and Congressional testimony to preserve Cold War historical artifacts. The memorial was officially dedicated in May 2015, a testament to his tireless commitment to honoring those who served in silence.
